Our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Kevin Michael Connors of Apopka, Florida, died on September 18, 2017 at age 58 after a year -long battle with Stage IV brain cancer (glioblastoma).
Kevin was born in December of 1958 in Lima, New York to William P. and Kathleen V. Connors. He was a 1985 graduate of SUNY-Albany with a bachelor's in Russian and Eastern European Studies. Kevin also served in the U.S. Army as a Russian linguist. His professional life included working for the U.S. Postal Service and at Disney World. He enjoyed being a bus driver at Disney and interacting with the children to ensure that even a bus ride was magical.
Family was everything to him. Kevin was an amazing, supportive best friend to his wife of 32 years, Mary. He was a devoted father who was involved in soccer and Boy Scouts with his sons, Brian and Daniel along with church and school activities. Kevin loved being with his grandchildren and sharing many "firsts" with them such as their first visits to Disney and Kennedy Space Center. He was kind and loving to family and friends and never hesitated to help anyone in need.
Kevin is lovingly remembered by his wife Mary, sons Brian and Daniel, daughters (in law) Marianne and Vanya, grandchildren Michael, Brock, Liam, and Emmalyn and other loving family including his mother Kathleen and brothers, Robert, Joseph, and Sean.
Kevin's Life Celebration will be Sunday, September 24th from 2-4 pm at the Maitland Sheraton on N. Lake Destiny Road. Any family or friend who cannot make it, please raise a glass or shot of Irish whiskey at 3:45 pm to say goodbye with us.
Interment will be at a later date in New York.
In lieu of flowers since we are not having a traditional visitation in accordance with Kevin's wishes, we are asking for donations in his memory/ name to the American Brain Tumor Association at abta.org.

He will be missed, but he will watch over his family on earth and enjoy his time with his father and brothers until we join them.

Mary & Family, I'm so sorry that all of you are having to deal with the loss of Kevin. I know there will be a void in your family that won't ever be filled again. I only met Kevin briefly when we worked together at Waterman Village, but I know he was a great man. My thoughts & prayers continue to be with all of you as you travel along this journey.
