KEVIN DEMITROS Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 25, 2022.
We are saddened to report that Kevin passed away in late July. Kevin is survived by his son, Jacob (Ylonka) and by his grandchildren Gloria and Javier of Winter Park,

Florida. He is further survived by his two sisters, Tracy Falquez (Carlos) and Deborah Bacon (Ron), also both of Florida, as well as his nephew Gregory Demitros and many cousins.

Kevin was 67 years of age and one of five children of James and Carol Demitros of Milwaukee. He was preceded in death by his brother Rick Demitros (Colleen) and his sister, Chris Demitros.

Kevin was a long-time resident of Wauwatosa and was employed by Milwaukee County where he worked in Constituent Services and Airport Planning for more than 40 years. In the mid-90's, he lived in the United Kingdom where he earned a degree in Urban Planning from Oxford Polytechnic University.

Kevin's smile and laughter were contagious. He was known to light up a room with his presence. He was "a regular" at Brewer games and Milwaukee's festivals where his lifelong love of music was evident. For Kevin, motorcycles were a passion. He bought his first motorcycle when he was still in high school and was a motorcycle enthusiast ever since.

Kevin welcomed people from all walks of life into his world. His generosity extended to various charities and under-privileged groups, including giving his free time to those with disabilities.

We know he is in a better place and at peace now with Jim, Carol, Rick and Chris.

I worked with Kevin for many years at the County Board. Like many, I enjoyed some good times but what I will remember was his always joyous and boisterous greeting whenever I saw him. He was a unique personality and a good man. My sympathy to the family. Rest in peace Kevin.

I agree with my friend Michael Keegan, Kevin was one of the good guys. He never left anywhere without becoming friends with everyone in the room. I will miss all of the fun times we had together. My sympathies to his family.
