KEVIN PAUL NANCE

Kevin Paul Nance was born July 2, 1973 in DeLand, FL, where he was raised, and went to be with our Lord on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the age of 38 years in DeLand, FL. Kevin went to DeLand High and also attended Daytona State College. He enjoyed participating in all types of activities throughout his life. He played soccer and football during his school years and started surfing at a young age of twelve; he loved to be around water. He also loved to ride his wave runner and was a certified scuba diver, along with his dad, brother and sister. He was involved in BMX racing, which he received several trophies for, and loved to go four-wheeling and "mudding" in his pick up truck. Kevin started out working for his brother's business at TNT Window Tinting in Orange City for many years before establishing his own concrete business called K&N Concrete. After sustaining a severe head injury in 2010, Kevin became a stay at home dad. He leaves behind his 17 year old son Chaz Herman of Deltona, FL; a seven year old daughter Makaila Nance of DeLand, FL; and his girlfriend of many years, Michelle Scarpelli of Deltona, FL. He is also survived by his father Edward Nance and wife Melinda of DeLand, FL; his mother Susan McFadden of DeLand, FL; a brother Jimmy Nance and wife Michelle of Orange City, FL; his sister Debi Totten and husband Alan of Lake Helen, FL; paternal grandmother Rosemary Nance of Port St. Lucie, FL; several aunts and uncles, cousins, three nieces and one nephew. A private memorial service will be held in his honor at a later time. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to the Halifax Humane Society, 2364 West LPGA Blvd., Daytona Beach, FL 32124.
