Carlos, Adriana & Deandre,
Although we never had the pleasure of meeting Kevin, we know the kind, loving and close-knit family in which he lived. Sitting in his memorial, his vivid and joyful spirit came through. The photos, videos and personal tributes by friends gave us a sense that we knew him. We can´t imagine the pain you´re feeling now, but looking at how full the church was, it´s clear that you have a lot of support to help you through the days. We´re sending prayers for comfort and peace as you navigate through this tragedy.

Too many memories. Every morning Kevin, Ryan Grandma Maria and me would sing dance and run from those noseeums waiting for the bus to go to school!! His Smile would light us up every single morning. Kevin was a delight Christmas´s Easter´s Thanksgiving and would sing and play guitar for all of us. What A Joy!
No words could ever describe Kevin. Kevin is up in heaven looking down and saying. I Love you Momma , Daddy and brother Deandre. I am always with you until we meet again Love forever n ever

What a sweet, loving, and sharp man. A huge loss to our community. I met him at a meditation event where he was playing music alongside the facilitator and it was so moving, I thanked him and then went to see him play at a restaurant opening. He was so talented. He played every song that was requested, from any style or decade- it was an amazing and inspiring performance. He really encouraged others to express themselves, to use their voice, and he did that for me. I went to a be you disco where he played and then led the participants to contribute to the song. He did an amazing job at helping us let our guard down and pretend we could be singers for a moment. I think we all felt like we were kids; we weren´t concerned about sounding bad or making a mistake. People who cheer others on are really powerful, and that was Kevin. He was so open hearted and was quick to tell his friends that he loved and appreciated them. The last time I saw him, we spoke briefly and hugged much longer. I´ll never forget the genuine, loving expression in his face when he spoke to me and others. He is a great reminder to me that it´s best to live with an open heart. I know you will continue to hear from people who were touched by him, and just know that there are so many others you will never meet, but they are out there. I hope it gives you some peace to know that he will be remembered by so many.

Adriana, Carlos and Deandre, Jim and I are so sorry to hear of Kevin´s death. We cry tears with you over your loss as we lost our son Greg 6 years ago. We know your pain. We met Kevin a few times, speaking to him at the restaurant. He shared a Cd with us, his original songs. His smile lit up the room, so kind and polite. We were impressed with his energy and excitement. I believe he was at FSU when we first met him, he may have been working at the restaurant over Christmas break. I know you are very proud of him, his talent and accomplishments. Again we are so sorry. We are here in Tequesta if any of you should need to talk or have someone listen. Deandre, you are dear to my heart as well.

Kevin,
You and I talked a few times in passing between gigs as you were either setting up or tearing down and I was doing the opposite. You were a gentle soul always with a smile on your face. You had a great ear and loved the technology of the solo performance and looping. I wish you well and may your loved ones find peace each day knowing you are now happy and at peace. You will never have to deal with another out of tune string while playing the beaches of Heaven.

Kevin, I don´t even know what to say. I literally saw you a few months ago. We would always talk music and were such a bright, joyful soul. I don´t know what happened to you, but I hope you find the peace that you always longed for. Till we meet again, my brother.
