Kevin P. Ryan, age 57, of Weymouth, formerly of Quincy, died suddenly, Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. He was born in Weymouth, raised and educated in Quincy schools and was a graduate of Quincy High School, Class of 1970. He attended the University of NH and graduated from Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy. He later received his MBA from Suffolk University. He has lived in Weymouth for five years and previously was a lifelong Quincy resident. Kevin was a client representative for the IBM Corporation, covering the New England area. He had twenty-five years of service. He was proud to be a member of the Quincy High School Baseball and Football Halls of Fame. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Harmon Club of Rockland and the Weather Vane Golf Club in Weymouth. Kevin was a Boston Red Sox and N.E. Patriot fan. He also enjoyed cooking for his family and friends. Beloved husband for thirty-seven years of Patricia L. (McGunagle) Ryan. Devoted father of Kevin P. Ryan, Jr., Captain, U.S. Army and his wife Verena of Germany and Jamie Lynn Ryan of Weymouth. Loving grandfather of Keegan, Hayden and Emma. Dear brother of Margaret A. Peggy Orlando and her husband Thomas of Quincy, Gerald J. Ryan, Jr. and his wife Joan of Quincy, Karen R. Kane and her husband Timothy of Norwell, Kathleen A. Ryan of Provincetown, Richard P. Ryan and his wife Michele of Weston, Timothy J. Ryan of Quincy and Sharon T. Ryan of Baltimore, MD. Brother-in-law of Mary Riley and her husband Michael of TX, Kathleen Annello and her husband Anthony, Deputy Chief, Q.F.D., Ret. of Quincy, George McGunagle, Deputy Chief, Q.F.D., Ret. and his wife Carole of Weymouth, Michael McGunagle, Capt., Q.F.D., Ret. and his wife Kay of Weymouth, Shawn McGunagle and his partner Larry Dawson of Indian Wells, CA, Terry Kelly and her husband Mark of Weymouth, Pamela Campbell and her husband Stephen of Norwell. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral from the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, Tuesday, August 24 at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass in Saint Francis Xavier Church, 234 Pleasant Street, Weymouth at 10 oclock. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4 | 8 p.m. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
