Kevin Arthur Sanders

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Kevin Arthur Sanders on April 22, 2023, at age eighty-seven. He was a highly respected journalist in both broadcast and print media and credited as the "first voice on CNN". Kevin began his career as co-anchor at the Channel Nine News Network in Canberra, Australia, where he worked along side of Sir Eric Pearce, He went on as anchor at KTLA, Los Angelos - commentator and critic at Channel Seven, New York - then as science reporter at CNN.

Kevin Sanders was a visionary journalist who dedicated his career to promoting global peace. He was passionate about raising awareness of the risks posed by nuclear weapons and worked tirelessly toward their abolition. Kevin's influence extended beyond his reporting on networks.

Kevin wrote, produced, directed and was reporter in the documentaries he made to elevate consciousness regarding the current legality of nuclear weapons leading to nuclear war:
"People Against the Bomb - Showdown at the UN"
"Judgement in The Hague".

As United Nation NGO and chairman of The Earth Society, founded by Margaret Mead, Kevin hosted the first-ever live webcast from The United Nations at the annual equinox Earth Day Peace Bell Ceremony. His warm and compassionate spirit and journalism endeavors will leave a legacy that will inspire future generations in the media world.

He leaves behind many colleagues, friends and family members who were inspired by his life. Beyond his professional achievements, Kevin will be missed and remembered as a beloved husband, step father, grandfather, great- grandfather and the sunshine and star light of our lives.
