Kevin Lewis Wall, 72, a much-loved father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, passed away on June 5, 2025, at St. Joseph Hospice in
Gulfport, Mississippi, after a short but aggressive battle with colon cancer.
Born on August 16, 1952, in Pensacola, Florida, Kevin spent most of his life in Fort Walton Beach. He graduated from Choctawhatchee High School in 1970, where he played softball and earned the nickname "Rooster," a moniker that stuck with him throughout his life.
In his early years, Kevin worked alongside his father managing the original Krispy Kreme in Fort Walton Beach. Later, he became a familiar and friendly face in the community as the Colonial Bread Man-a role he held with pride for many years. His strong work ethic and dedication to his job left a lasting impression on those who knew him.
Kevin was a longtime member of Cinco Baptist Church. His quiet faith served as a steady foundation throughout his life. His family extends heartfelt gratitude to Cinco Baptist Church for their unwavering support over the years. A special thank you is given to Deacon Ed Klink for his kindness and companionship during Kevin's final months-ensuring he was cared for and spiritually at peace.
Later in life, Kevin took on the important role of caretaker for his mother, Helen. It was a responsibility he embraced with deep loyalty and love, sacrificing much to ensure her comfort and well-being. This chapter of his life stands as a testament to his patience and devotion.
Kevin had an infectious laugh and a great sense of humor that endeared him to many. His unique sense of style-often featuring socks with flip flops or shorts over sweatpants-was a source of amusement for his children but also part of what made him unforgettable. His taste in music was impeccable and something he proudly passed down to his kids.
He found joy in simple pleasures: working in his yard with a big sun hat and an even bigger cup of ice water, meticulously mowing the grass each week. Though no longer able to play full rounds of golf in recent years, he delighted in taking his grandchildren to Goofy Golf whenever they visited-creating cherished memories that will live on.
Kevin is survived by his three children: Chris Wall and wife Stacy; Ashlee Walker and husband Jeffrey; and Courtney Fox and husband Josiah. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter who brought immense joy into his life. He is lovingly remembered by his sisters Donna (William) Ellis and Wanda Duran, along with nieces, cousins, and many others whose lives he touched.
Welcoming him into Heaven were his parents, Lewis and Helen Wall, as well as his brother Timothy.
Kevin's legacy is one of love freely given, stories warmly told, laughter generously shared, and a spirit that quietly but powerfully influenced those around him. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held on August 16, 2025, at 02:00 PM at Cinco Baptist Church 26 Yacht Club Dr NW in Fort Walton Beach, Fl. A reception will be held across the street at the Kidd Street Center after the church service. Family and friends are invited to share happy memories of Kevin, as well as celebrate what would have been his 73rd birthday.
