Khossrow Assadi Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 23, 2025.
Khossrow Assadi, 82, of Denver, Colorado, and formerly of San Rafael, California, passed away from complications of Parkinson's Disease on July 13, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

Born on October 7, 1942, in Tehran, Iran, Khossrow was a brilliant engineer, lifelong learner, and problem solver who approached both work and life with curiosity and integrity. A graduate of the University of Utah with degrees in electrical engineering, he built a career working on innovative projects.

Khossrow was proud to contribute to projects including the image processor for General Electric's MRI machine, as well as communications, space, and satellite systems for several leading companies, always striving to make a lasting impact through thoughtful design and practical solutions.

Outside of work, he enjoyed traveling the world and spending time with friends and family (particularly his grandchildren) and attending many jazz concerts throughout the years. He was known for his sense of humor, contagious laugh, and for taking much longer than anyone else to decide what food to order at a restaurant.

He is survived by his wife Barbara; sons Camron (Liz Rossof), Jordan (Jenny); daughter Lisa Palmer (Andrew); and grandchildren Leo Palmer, Sam Palmer, and Kiana Assadi, who will always remember him as a wonderful and loving father and grandfather. He is also survived by sisters Shireen Wolf and Mahnaz Assadi, and by niece Bianca Wolf and nephew Hossein-Ali Ghezelbash.

A celebration of life will be held later. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to The Parkinson's Foundation or The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.

Barbara and Family I am heartbroken by the news of Khasrow passing, my condolences, he will be missed tremendously!
I have known you guys for more than 40 plus years, spending time with both of you and always it was fun and interesting. Khasrow loved life, he enjoyed everything especially the wine tastings and the restaurants! As a young person in Milwaukee where we met, I can't forget, when we were at Abu's (a Palestinian restaurant), he wanted a raw onion with his food, and when the waiters brought the onion, he picked it up & started eating it like an Apple and he said "this is how I do it" !! He laughed loudly and he was a very factual person with no sugar coding, he had a great sense of humor, even making fun of him self at times!. He was intelligent but he never showed it off, he was down to earth type of person! Barbara I wish you Peace, and comfort with his good memories.
He loved his dog Ruby, taking her to get her hair done with cute ribbons!
I still can't beleive it, but that is life and he always will be remembered by me for being full of life!
I love you !

Thank you for being in my life. Thank you for filling a void in my life. Thank you for loving me in ways I knew I needed, and in ways I didn't know I needed. I love you, now and always.

We are sorry for your loss that is also our loss. We enjoyed meeting with both of you since the times I was a new resident at Kaiser and discussed interesting cases over dinner or watch shows together. He was funny and full of life. May he rest in peace.

We'll always remember you Dear Khossrow, especially the special times we shared with you and Barbara for the past sixty years. While living in different parts of the world and America, we always managed to meet up each year, where we made so many special memories together. We love you two, forever and ever and you will always be close in our hearts.
