NEW BEDFORD -- Ki Soo John Park, 59, of New Bedford died Thursday October 26, 2006 suddenly at home. He was the husband of Gui Ok Martha Park.
Born in Pusan, Korea, he lived in New Bedford for the past 30 years.
Mr. Park was formerly employed as a machine operator at Chamberlain Manufacturing Company. He had also been the proprietor of several businesses in New Bedford and Rhode Island.
Survivors include his wife; three children, Sul Sa Luke Park of Brighton, Kipuda Sophia Park and her husband Jinman Baang of Chestnut Hill, and Han Mi Park of New York City; a brother, Duk Soo Park of Korea; a sister, Young Duk Park of Korea; and a granddaughter, Hye-Won Sabrina Baang.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:30 AM in St. Lawrence Church. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday morning from 9-10 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. For directions and guestbook, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
