Suddenly, due to Type 1Diabetes complications on Wednesday, March 11th, 2015, at the age of 17. Beloved daughter of Debbie and Bill Kelly. Loved sister of Regan and Delaney. Dear granddaughter of Rita Kelly (late William) and Diane Hewitt (late Thomas). Kiera will be lovingly remembered by her "Grandy" and "Pappa" Alice and Guy Pugliese. Dear niece of Bob and Karen Kelly, Wendy, Mitchell and Pat O'Malley, Shelly and Wayne McInnis, Tammy Hewitt and Darryl Richards. Cousin of Cody, MacKenzie, Meghan, Dean, Kallie, Darcie, Paige and Ben. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Sunday, March 15th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, March 16th at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations to SickKids Foundation or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation would be appreciated.

We haven't met. I heard of Kiera's passing thru an Instagram connection and have since discovered Reagan and our son Cameron, both first year Ottawa U students, have mutual friends. I have been thinking of you all everyday since I heard and my heart aches for the immense pain you are all experiencing. Our beautiful son, Cam, also our middle child, tragically died in Ottawa this past October. I am truly so so sorry that you have joined us on this path of overwhelming grief and loss. Our lives will never be the same. Please know that you are never alone and many of us will help shoulder your pain. I am here for you if you ever wish to talk to someone in the same boat. Be gentle with yourselves and each other. This is possibly the worst thing we, as parents, can go thru.

It is heartbreaking learning about the passing of Kiera. My daughter and I met Kiera at Colonial Equestrian Centre and although we did not get to know her very well, she had a sweet smile on her face with every encounter. Dear Bill, Debbie, Regan and Delaney, we are so sorry for your loss. When I used to babysit Regan, Kiera and Delaney, she used to be such a gem to look after. She always had a smile on her face. Kiera was also a good little judo fighter in the Tai-Ko Judo Club. When the girls were really young I used to see Regan and Kiera holding hands, singing and skipping from Judo class back to their house around the corner; it was cute to watch. I also had many fond memories of her, Regan and Delaney at my parents house with all the judo parties. It was nice to see Kiera grow up from a toddler to a beautiful young lady. Words cannot express how heartbreaking it is that such a young, beautiful, sweet girl has passed. It feels like just yesterday we were freaking out and running back to timmies because we forgot to get Robert's tea. As I read this, tears are running down my face. My daughter is the same age, and has T1 Diabetes as well. I am so very sorry for your loss, although I don't know Kiera or her family, I wanted to say how sorry I am and feel your pain.
