KIERAN SHORE Obituary
Pops, as he was affectionately nicknamed, fought valiantly for several months, but ultimately passed surrounded by his family on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at the age of 79. Reunited now with his beloved wife Janet. Devoted father of Michael (Nancy), Marianne (Pete Ecclestone) and Jennifer (Craig Sinclair). Loving Popsie to Billy, Melissa, Riley, Kieran, Connor, Liam, Danielle and Shawn. Survived by his sisters Mary (Marty) and Margaret, and his brother Jack (Jenny), his sister-in-law Elspeth and his brother-in-law Don. Predeceased by his brothers Robert (Margaret), Philip and Michael and his sisters Joan and Agnes. Kieran will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family as well as the many friends he held in such high esteem. He considered himself to be "the luckiest man to have walked this earth surrounded by his family." He died as he lived, still cracking jokes to the very end. Family will receive friends at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre (2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa) on Friday, September 25, 2015 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Celebration of Kieran's Life will be held at Our Lady of the Visitation Church, 5338 Bank Street, Ottawa at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 26, 2015. A reception will follow in the church hall. As an expression of sympathy donations to Shepherds of Good Hope or a donation of blood to a blood bank in his honour would be appreciated. Mike, Mary, and Jenny - I'm very sorry to hear of your dad's passing. I remember how generous he always was with his time in helping others. I have fond memories of his great sense of humor and can still recall the smile that would appear on his face when I used to goof on Elvis around the campfire at your place way back in the late 70's. Kieran was a shining example of how to live life. He and Janet were always ready to lend a hand or with an invitation to the cottage. And always ready with a joke, of course.
