MALONE — Kim C. Cheyne Adams, 53, died Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, at the Alice Hyde Medical Center.

Born in Swindon, England, Jan. 2, 1956, she was a daughter of Donald and Beverly (Cooper) Cheyne.

She was married Aug. 14, 1999, to Elwood "Woody" Adams at the Burke Methodist Church by Rev. Derek Trudell.

Mrs. Adams graduated from Chateaugay Central High School. She was employed for a short time at the Malone Central Schools, a case worker for Franklin County D.S.S. and assisted her husband in the family business at Resurrection Shop Chainsaw Carving.

Mrs. Adams was a communicant of the Chateaugay Methodist Church. A devoted mother, she loved her grandchildren and enjoyed cooking and doing needlepoint. She also enjoyed her Yorkies, playing video games, was a member of the Highwaymen Motorcycle Club and the 340 Club Women's Pool Team.

She is survived by her husband "Woody;" her parents, Donald and Beverly Cheyne of Chateaugay; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Kris Gadway and his wife Sherry of Plattsburgh, Derek Gadway of Malone; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Wendy Langey and her companion Bob Peterson of Sheldon, Vt., Mrs. John (Brenda) Rogers of Walworth, N.Y., Mrs. Roger (Tracie) Parmeter of Chateaugay; four stepsons and two daughters-in-law, Elwood Adams Sr. and his wife Doreen of Paul Smiths, Edward Adams and his wife Abby of North Bangor, Aaron Adams of Malone, Jessie Adams and his companion Tiffany Rovito of Constable; a stepdaughter and son-in-law, Mrs. Arryn (Anna Adams) McNichol of Coburg, Ontario; 16 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Sunday at the Chateaugay Funeral Home beginning at 1 p.m. and continue until time for the funeral service at 4 p.m. in the funeral home, with the Rev. Eleanor Bellows presiding. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Eastside Cemetery.

Memorial gifts may be given to Little People of America, National Office, 250 El Camino, Real Suite 201, Tuftin, CA 92780.

My deepest sympathy to Kim's entire family. I remember so well having such admiration for Kim's spirit when we were just in elementary school. She was a good friend with a wonderful sense of humor.
