LEWISBURG - Kim R. Cowan, 46, of 202 Century Village, died Wednesday morning, Sept. 22, 2004, at her home, after a period of failing health.
Kim was born March 26, 1958, in Rochester, N.Y., a daughter of Robert M. and Ann (Lucas) Diltz of Hampton Falls, N.H.
She was a graduate of Salem, N.H. High School, where she received top honors, being listed on the Who's Who list as one of the best students in America. She later attended the University of Windsor in Canada and the University of Western Ontario before receiving a bachelor of arts degree in accounting from the University of New Hampshire.
Kim was an accountant her entire working life, employed with Bedor & Associates in Littleton, N.H. and Mountain View House in Whitefield, N.H. She moved to Lewisburg in 1995, and was currently an accountant for West Branch Rent-All, Lewisburg.
Kim was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church, Lewisburg.
She enjoyed cooking, reading, and sewing. She served as a foster parent for many years in both New Hampshire and Pennsylvania where she took in not only children, but families as well, thereby touching many youth.
Surviving, in addition to her parents, are one son, Cole R. Cowan, at home; three brothers, the Rev. Jon E. Ryan and his wife Lisa, minister of Way International, Indianapolis, Christopher R. Ryan of Hampton Falls and Thomas R. Ryan Sr. and his wife Terri of Peshtigo, Wisc.; and two sisters, Jan Ellen Ryan of Epping, N.H., and Mary Beth Voltz of Lee, N.H., and many loving nieces; nephews; cousins; aunts; and uncles.
Memorial calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter, N.H.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2 at Christ Episcopal Church, 43 Pine Street, Exeter.
Burial will be in Hampton Falls Cemetery.
The family will provide flowers and asks that donations in Kim's memory be made to the House of Care, 100 N. Academy Ave., Danville, Pa. 17821, in care of the Rev. Jay Smith, resident manager.
Local arrangements are by the John H. Shaw III Funeral Home, Market and Eighth streets, Lewisburg.

I was sorry to hear of Kim's passing. She was a wonderful, caring person and she will forever be in my heart. She was a great friend to talk to.
Kim will be greatly missed.

Kim was a very special and caring woman to me and everyone else she had contact with. I'm sure she will be missed by many. God bless and be with her family in this time of loss.
