It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Kimberly Ann "Kim" Mitchell (nee Levesque) at Health Sciences North in Sudbury, Ontario, on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at the age of 45 years.
Beloved wife of Sean Mitchell of Chateauguay, Quebec. Cherished mother of Ashley and Sierra Mitchell. Loving daughter of Diane (nee McCormick) and Martial "Mike" Levesque of Sudbury. Much loved sister of Jim Levesque (wife Angie) of Chelmsford. Loving aunt of Justin, Jordan, James, Kyle, Kassidy and Denver. She also leaves behind many other relatives and dear friends, including Colleen Anstey of Falconbridge whom she was very close with. Colleen and Angie were Kim's "Soul sisters." She was predeceased by her grandparents.
Kim was born and raised in Sudbury and married Sean on April 30, 1994. She was a proud military wife having lived in several cities across Canada over the years. Kim will be remembered as a very giving person, always willing to help anyone in need. She loved spending time at the military resource centres where Sean was posted and would offer her assistance there whenever it was required. She was a strong supporter of the Sudbury Classic Cruisers Car Club and volunteered at several car shows. Above all, Kim cherished her time with her family. She touched the lives of so many and will be missed by all who knew her.
As per her wishes, cremation will take place at Park Lawn Crematorium. A celebration of Kim's life will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 3667 Regional Road 15 in Chelmsford from 12 p.m. - 5 p.m. and all are invited to attend. Donations to the Military Families Fund or Northern Cancer Foundation, in Kim's memory, would be greatly appreciated.
