Kinion Edward Whittington, beloved son of Keith and Charla Whittington, passed from this world to the next great adventure, on Thursday, February 12, 2015, too soon for one so young.
Kinion was born in Portland, Oregon on June 11, 1990. He moved with his family in the winter of 1992 to Bokchito, Oklahoma, where he resided until his death.
Kinion was always a quiet child, he grew to be one of the finest people you would ever meet. He never said a hurtful or unkind word and was quick to defend anyone who was being talked about or treated wrongly. He loved beautiful things, and saw beauty in everything. His smile could light up the room, and he could make his friends laugh so easily. He loved video games, going to Six Flags with family and friends, family reunions, renaissance faires, and creating beautiful and useful things. He cherished his family and friends and considered the time spent with them a blessing.
Kinion was an Eagle Scout and a member of the National Technical Honor Society.
Kinion is survived by his parents, Keith and Charla Whittington, of Bokchito, Oklahoma; brother, Kyle Whittington and wife, Julia, of Fort Worth, Texas; sister, Kasey Willmon, and husband Jacob, of Twentynine Palms, California. Grandparents, Harlan Whittington of Bokchito, Oklahoma; Charles and Carrol Anderson of Sachse, Texas; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his great grandparents and grandmother Bonnie Whittington.
A gathering of friends and family will be from 3-4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 15, 2015 at the Holmes Coffey Murray Funeral Home. A service in honor his life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 16, 2015 at the Holmes Coffey Murray Chapel with Duane Compton officiating. Interment will follow at the Bokchito Cemetery.
Family and friends may send online condolences and view tributes at www.holmescoffeymurray.com.
Services are under the direction of Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home, Durant, Oklahoma.
