Kirk was one of the kindest men I have ever met. He was a true example of how we should all live. Always there, always faithful, always with a smile. I appreciate how good he was to my mother after Dad died. He always looked her up at church and made sure she was okay.

I have the privilege of working in the community where your dear father lived, and in the short time I've been here, he made a lasting impression on me. He was one of the kindest, most genuine souls-a true gentleman.
We often talked about his love for his family, his deep faith in Jesus, and his zest for life. I used to attend Sunday night service for high schoolers and college kids at Birchman in the 90s, and it's where I fell in love with worship music. We connected on that as well as our love for kiddos with Down syndrome. Kirk was so proud to wear his World Down Syndrome Day t-shirts just like I do for my niece.
I just wanted to let you know how much he will be missed by me and so many others. Godspeed to him. Wishing you and your family strength and peace during this difficult time.
Sincerely, Vanessa Lozada, Lifestyle Coordinator at Album Benbrook

Kirk was a friend to my husband, Omar and I'm sure they've already visited in heaven.

I don´t remember much of the details, but while I served on staff at Birchman Baptist Church, Kirk helped me purchase a set of Hogan golf clubs. I used those clubs for at least 30 years. He had a servant´s heart, and he loved the church and God´s people.
