Kitty Gates Woolf

Kitty Gates Woolf, 62, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at UAB hospital surrounded by family and friends. Mrs. Woolf graduated from Shades Valley High School in 1972. She lived most of her life in Birmingham and Atlanta, spending the last four years in Piedmont. Kitty had a radiant personality and a smile that would light up a room. She loved her family, friends and especially deep sea fishing. Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Earl Woolf; sons, William S. Woolf, of Tyrone, Ga. and Wesley A. Woolf, of Columbus, Ga.; three grandchildren, Carson and Caitlyn Woolf and Samuel Woolf; brother, Ed Gates; aunt, Louise Boyd, of Sledge, Miss.; sister-in-law, Mary Gates; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Katherine Gates, and brother, Ted Gates. Interment will be with family in Longtown, Mississippi.
