AUBURN -- Kobe Huynh, 14, of Auburn, arrived at the Kingdom of Heaven on Feb. 21, 2014, as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident.
He was an honor student in the 7th grade at Auburn Middle School, an honorary firefighter with the City of Westbrook, a member of the First Tee Golf Program at Fox Ridge Golf Club, and an honorary member of the Bates College baseball team.
Kobe's life seems too short, but those who were lucky to know him learned how to live, love and laugh. Because of Kobe, we are all a little stronger, and will treasure our memories of his radiant smile and kind heart. He will be remembered for his positivity and graciousness. He was a boy with a pure heart, always assuring us he was going to be okay. His was a life well lived leaving behind a legacy for all of us to be proud of.
With Kobe's passing we are reminded that his life is one to be celebrated. Although we will miss him dearly, he will forever remain in our hearts. He was an incredibly thoughtful young man, an ideal brother and cousin, a loving son, and a friend to many.
Kobe is survived by his loving mother and step-father, Melissa Galvez and Sig Galvez Jr. of Auburn; his young sister, Ayva Galvez; his step-brother, Anthony Galvez Riga; his father, Nghia Huynh of Nashua, N.H.; his maternal grandparents, Marland and Schoenin Wing; aunts, uncles and cousins from the Wing family of Portland; aunts, uncles and cousins from the Galvez family of Portland; his paternal grandparents, Phu and Ngoc Huynh; and uncles, aunts and cousins from the Huynh family of Portland.

My the Lord's angels wrap all of you in there wings and comfort you and your family. Sig and Michelle, I am sending my prayers to you and all of your family. I am so sorry for your tragic loss. I hope these next few words are words that will comfort you and your family:
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep,
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the Diamond glints on snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle Autumn rain

When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quite birds in circled flight
I am the soft stars that shine at night
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there ,I did not die!
