KONSTANTINA CONDOS MANIATIS, 89, of West Haven, passed away Oct. 2, 2011. She was the beloved wife of the late Panagos Maniatis. Born in Skoura, Sparta, Greece on Oct. 26, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Klimentia Condos. She came to this country in 1969. She is survived by one son, Theodore (Eleftheria) Maniatis of West Haven; two daughters, Angeliki (Rev. George) Stavropoulos of Syosset, N.Y. and Klimentia "Cleo" (Peter) Vlahos of West Haven; one brother, Anastasios (Antonia) Condos in Greece; a sister in law, Paula Condos and a brother in law, Peter Mihaleas; 7 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Nikos Condos and four sisters, Nia Mihaleas, Panouko Prattas, Athena Vlamis and Stavroula Moshos. Our beloved Konstantina was loving and caring and had a zest for life. As a Greek American, she came to the United States with her husband looking for a better life for their family. "Papou' and "YiaYia" left a legacy of a loving family that will endure for generations to come. Friends may call at The Celentano Funeral Home, 424 Elm St. (cor. Dwight) New Haven Tuesday (TODAY) from 6 to 9 PM and are invited to attend funeral services in St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church, 480 Racebrook Road, Orange Wednesday morning at 10:00. Interment in Beaverdale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 2075 Silas Deane Highway, Suite 100, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
