Krishna Mehta Obituary
Krishna J. Mehta, age 95, of Trumbull, beloved Great Grandma passed away peacefully in her home. Born on December 28, 1917, Krishna was blessed to attend the Trumbull Senior Citizen Center for over 30 years. She very much enjoyed bingo and her many friends at the center. Krishna came to the United States in 1977 with her late husband, Jayantilal J. Mehta to live with her children (Jayshree, Jatin, Dilip and Bhadra). Many of her children, nephews, nieces, relatives and family friends on both sides of the world (USA and India) saw her as the rock of the family and an anchor of religious traditions. All who knew her will miss her. Her son, Jatin Mehta, and daughters Jayshree and Bhavna (Bhadra), 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, many loving nieces, nephews, and family members survive Krishna. She lived with Jatin and Jyotsna Mehta at 71 Merrimac Drive.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at ShreeNathji Haveli Temple, 70 Pond Lily Avenue, New Haven, Connecticut (203 387 7400). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Bridgeport Rotary Club Foundation, c/o Foundation Chair John Cottrell, 1225 Wells Place, Stratford, CT 06615.
