Krista Dewar Obituary
Passed away peacefully on July 25, 2011 in Montreal at the age of fifty-six. Loving daughter of the late Rod Dewar and the late Jane Curtis. Beloved mother of Alion Gurd and Zachary Eberts, grandmother of Kaya Van Roost. Also survived by her three sisters, Leslie, Signe, and Lisa, as well as her brother, Anthony. We wish to express our deepest gratitude to the very caring staff of the Patricia Mackenzie Pavilion. Her eccentric spirit and magical sense of humour will be greatly missed.
A memorial will be held at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Home, 5610 Sherbrooke West on Sunday, August 21 from 6 to 9 p.m. Words in Krista's memory will be shared at 7 p.m.

Krista was my best friend for several years in early high school. I have never forgotten her wild spirit and have often thought of her. Was truly saddened to hear of her passing.

I will remember the brilliant and true spirit that was Cree. She chose a road traveled mostly alone, but upon it she came across many, who, if they knew she had left us, would leave heartfelt and profound words here. She was brave, unique, very funny and will be sorely missed by more than a few.
To the family, my most fervent condolences.
