Colorado Springs, CO - It is with deep sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Kristi J. Almond. Beloved daughter of Thomas Jack Almond Jr. and Robin(Ay). Loving sister to Thomas Jack Almond III (Janelle),Brittany,Hunter and Brooke Almond, and loving Aunt to sweet Grace Mae. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and great friends. Kristi was a loving mommy to her fur baby Callie

Kristi was born on March 3,1992 and lived most of her life in Marlton NJ. Always the beach lover, she spent her summers in Ventnor, NJ

Kristi was a graduate of Cherokee High School, class of 2010. As a child Kristi dreamed of becoming a teacher. She fulfilled that dream graduating from Rowan University in 2014, with dual degrees in elementary education and special education. To better meet the needs of her children she obtained her Wilson Certification

Kristi's first teaching job was in Shamong School District. Kristi taught for seven years in Shamong teaching in both the elementary and middle schools. She loved every minute of her time teaching in Shamong and watching the success of her students

In 2021 Kristi followed her dream of moving out west and moved cross country to Colorado. Kristi loved the mountains, hiking and nature. While in Colorado Kristi worked for Peyton School District. She was a 5th grade teacher there for 2 1/2 years. While working in Peyton school Kristi grew to be a valued respected member of the staff. Kristi was the first to advocate for the needs of her students, and was a friend to her colleagues, students and their families

Kristi had a big heart and infectious smile and laugh. She made many good friendships during her time in Colorado, but kept up with her Jersey roots. Kristi traveled back and forth between the two states to visit with family and friends, as their relationships have always been so important to her. Kristi was a good friend to many.

Kristi will be honored on her 32nd birthday March 3, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be held at The Cart Barn 887 South Mayslanding Rd. Hammonton, NJ 08037

Condolences will be received from 11:00-12:30pm

Visitation after 12:30 will be private
