Kristin Lee McDonald-Pigg

Kristin "Krissy" Lee McDonald-Pigg passed away December 11, 2024 in Summerfield, FL at the age of 59.

Krissy is survived by her husband Michael Pigg of Summerfield, FL; her brother Patrick (Tammie) McDonald of Waterman, IL; her aunt and uncle MaryLou & Tom Renner of Rockford, IL; her aunt MaryLou DeKing of Lander, WY; her sister-n-law Patricia Morman of Montgomery, IL; several cousins and her fur baby Lil Mac. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bill & Sally McDonald; her uncles Tom DeKing, Bill Assell and Ed Assell; her in-laws Morris & Ruby Pigg of Aurora, IL, 2 brother-n-laws Thomas & Dennis Pigg and her stepson Shawn Williams.

Krissy was born October 7, 1965 in Aurora, IL to parents Bill & Sally McDonald. She graduated from Batavia High School in 1983. She married Mike on June 2, 2004.

Krissy did not have children of her own but was never without one of her beloved dogs. She had the greatest bubbly personality and was always ready to help anyone that needed it. Krissy spent 19 years working for The Hartford where she made many lifelong friends. In 2016 she went to work at Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles, IL until January 2019 also creating lasting friendships. She selflessly left Pheasant Run to go down to Florida to take care of her parents as their health was declining. She ultimately decided to stay in Florida after their passing.

Krissy was an avid collector of Coke memorabilia and anything Disney. You wouldn't see her too often without her colorful attire right down to her matching shoes.

Krissy was a loving wife, sister, sister-n-law, niece, cousin and special friend to so many and will be missed greatly.

Krissy's family will be planning a celebration of life in Illinois on a future date.
