KRISTINE EDWARDS Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 25, 2015.
Kristine Ann Edwards Born August 1, 1952 in San Mateo, California, the daughter of Margaret and William, Kris lived a life of grace, generosity, and kindness. She graduated from the University of California at Berkeley and the University of Washington Tacoma's Masters in Nursing program. She was married to the late Dr. David Fogel, her beloved husband for nearly 30 years. Together they raised a loving family, giving the gifts of "roots and wings" to their children Jessica, Jeremy, and Peter. She had an unmatched closeness with her sister Lynne. She was also a proud grandmother to Caroline, a cherished mother-in-law to Kevin and Sarah, and a treasured aunt to the Fogel boys. She found a special partner and companion in John Selby, and they spent the last 3½ years enjoying a loving and joyful life together. She was a true and generous friend to many in California, Washington, and beyond. As a public health nurse, she was committed to making the world a better place and worked tirelessly to help people with asthma and to make sure women could access cancer screening. She passed away peacefully at home on October 14, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. She lived a beautiful life and leaves a legacy that will live on in all who were fortunate enough to know her. Please sign the online register at www.mountainviewtacoma.com.

Kris and I go way back to elementary school. She lived next door to Meadow Heights School. I've found a second grade class picture. Kris is on the left

Miss you, Kris! Miss baking with you, laughing and sharing stories about our lives, our families, healthcare and Michigan! I lit candles for you at the big cathedral in Milan, Italy, and place an inscribed tile in your honor in front of the Nordstrom Great Hall Staircase.
Rest well, my friend,
Jennifer

Please take comfort in the fact that God will make you firm and he will make you strong. He will ground you at time time of sorrow. 1 Peter 5:10

Kris was the kindest of friends to me and so many others. She generously shared her light, love, and joy with those whose lives she touched. I will hold her model of friendship, compassion, and love of life in my heart always. She loved her family so much and I learned a lot from her way of being in the world. She will be very missed. Sending much peace and love to John, her children, other family members, and her beloved granddaughter.

I worked with Kris in the Family Planning Clinic of the health dept. She was kind and caring, intelligent and multi-talented. She invited us to her son, Peter's, bar mitzvah, an experience I will treasure. My deepest sympathy to her family. Her children were the light of her life.
