Krysia Brady Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 16, 2025.
Krysia Oxana Brady

March 6, 1997 to April 9, 2025

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved friend, sister, teacher, daughter, and wife. Krysia's remarkable spirit was a shining light in this world, and her loss is felt by everyone whose life she touched. She fit a lifetime worth of love, joy, and laughter into her 28 years. Krysia's life was defined by love.

To be loved by Krysia was something special, unconditional - her love knew no bounds. Everywhere she went, she went with love, giving it to everyone and everything in abundance. Krysia loved her students, friends, and family with the strength of the sun. Both kind and playful, her blue eyes and magnetic laugh lit up any room (or classroom) she entered. She was the kind of friend who knew how to show up for you without being asked, and as long as you had her in your corner you would never feel alone. This generous, loving, insightful, compassionate, beautiful soul shaped so many lives, and we cherish the time and the memories we had with her.

Art was a huge part of Krysia's life. She loved hosting craft nights, baking, painting, playing video games, jamming out to music, and most of all reading. When she wasn't trying to convince you to play Dragon Age, you could find her reading every book she could get her hands on. When you want to feel close to Krysia, turn on some music (she'd recommend Beach Bunny) and pick up a paintbrush or one of her favorite books (Christopher Paolini's Eragon and Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn).

Krysia married the love of her life, Anthony, on September 23, 2023. He was the light of her life, as she was his. Witnessing them together was like watching a fairytale - they made you believe in soulmates. You felt lucky to live in a world where that kind of love could exist.

Krysia loved children and dreamed of being a teacher her entire life. She attended college and received her teaching certificate in December of 2021. She had a wonderful job teaching third grade at Seven Hills Preparatory Academy, where she had many friends and students whom she adored and who adored her.

She is survived by her husband Anthony Mims, her parents Peter and Heidi Brady, sisters Gwendolyn and Kennedy, and grandparents Robin Engelking and Phyllis and Dale Deboth.

Her celebration of life will be at
