My wife and I have just learned of this and are so deeply saddened. Kurt was a good friend to our boys, particularly our son Chris who attended SUNY Buffalo with him. We had the pleasure of knowing Kurt and always took an interest in his activities through our sons. He will be missed terribly. May God Bless Him. With sympathy and love.

Mr & Mrs Asdal & Family-I had the privilege of knowing and being friends with Kurt. We spent many weekends together during his years in NYC. I cannot express how shocked and saddened I am to hear of his passing. Kurt was one of the greatest people I have ever known and influenced my life in so many positive ways. He will always be in my heart, mind, and prayers. Love-Doug Kilcommons

Our hearts and prayers go out to the Asdal family. We are stunned and can not explain how deeply saddened we are. I lived with Kurt in Buffalo, and spent time with him in NYC and at the lake upstate. We had great times together with friends. Kurt is the most intelligent person I've ever known. I consider myself to be a better person for having been friends with him. He will be missed and we love him.

I sat next to Kurt through most of high school - our names were always together on the alpha roster. I remember him as being one of the nicest guys I knew. My sincerest condolences to your family during this difficult time. While the loss of a loved one is never easy it is most certainly the hardest when they are taken from us too soon. May the outpouring of sympathy, the kind acts of friends and strangers and the comfort in knowing that your loss is felt by many, help you through the days ahead. May you find the courage and strength to move forward in peace.

We have this poem hanging in our home if honor of my mom. It always brings comfort when I read it. Hope it does the same for you.
Warmest regards, Kehoe-Kenyon family
To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Dear Kurt...
My memories of you little dude... oh..so many years and too many to talk about. The hill between our house... the archery alley & bullseye your dad always set up, sleigh riding, eating clovers, watching you and your sisters play outside from my window when I was in trouble.
Anyway, you were the cutest, cutest... blondest boy! An amazing kid and apparently an even more amazing man!
For the record... I recently got in touch with your sisters and always wondered what you were up to... what you looked like, what you were doing... you made an impression quite young... this is such a tragedy.
I can only hope that you were doing something that made you smile & made you happy... know you left a mark on the world and always a place in my heart, you'll never be forgotten.
My deepest condolences to Cliff, Pam, Tammy and Denise... and family. Pam... you have been taking care and checking on my family at Horton forever... My heart and thoughts are with you...
I love you..
R.I.P. Kurt
