Lino Cantu Garcia

OKEECHOBEE - Lino Cantu Garcia died Mar. 25, 2015. He was born Dec. 27, 1926 in Los Indios, Texas to Lino Garcia and Guadalupe Cantu. A resident of Okeechobee for 20 years, he was a crew leader and enjoyed working on his trucks and fishing. Mr. Garcia was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Elida Longoria Garcia; sons, Lino I, Lino II and Lino Francisco; and two grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Pedrina Garcia; and their two children, Judy Garcia (Carlos) and Denise Garcia; and their grandchild. As well as his children with his first wife, Elida Longoria Garcia, two sons, Jose Garcia and Raymond Garcia; nine daughters, Maria Garcia, Irma Villareal (Jack), Linda Gomez (Manuel), Carmen Juarez (Joe), Raquel Tapia, Nady Garcia (Mark), Nelda Marroquin (Tomas), Nora Esquivel (Jesse), Lisa Florez (Valde); 28 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, David Garcia and Alfonso Garcia. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sun., Mar. 29, 2015 at Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home. Services will be 11 a.m. Mon., Mar. 30, 2015 at Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home with Father Yves officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
