Kurt A. Kauffman

Kurt A. Kauffman Kurt Alan Kauffman, 47, died peacefully of natural causes on Sunday, January 26, 2014, and immediately saw his Savior, Jesus Christ. He was born on August 28, 1966, in Portland Ore., to The Rev. Luke E. and Sandy Garber Kauffman. He is survived by two children, Nicholas H. Kauffman and Kylie L. Kauffman, and their mother, Amy P. Kauffman, his wife; a brother, Kent D. Kauffman of Warsaw, Ind.; a sister, Kristen L. Flynn of Bellevue, Wash.; one nephew, Reagan Michael Kauffman; one niece, Emma Grace Flynn; and seven cousins. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Jeremiah M. Kauffman, Mary E. Kauffman, Denver W. Garber, and Mary E. Garber. Kurt was graduated from Grace Christian School, Myerstown; Grace College, Winona Lake, Ind.; Liberty University, Lynchburg, Va.; Lynchburg College, Lynchburg, Va.; and a Ph.D. degree was close to completion. He was on faculty at Grace Christian School, Myerstown, a professor at Liberty University, and a principal in many school districts in Virginia. He attended Living Word Baptist Church, Forest, Va., and was a member of Myerstown Grace Brethren Church, Myerstown, where his father ministered as the first pastor for 24 years. His favorite activity was playing with his children. No services or burial are planned by his wife, Amy.
