Kyle Hammons HICKORY Kyle Andrew Hammons, 24, of Hickory, passed away Friday, June 15, 2012, at Frye Regional Medical Center. He was born April 13, 1988 in Catawba County to Terri Sain Hammons and Kenny Lee Hammons, both of Hickory. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Kay Mims Sain. Kyle attended the First Church of God in Hickory. He was an avid sports fan, loving baseball, football, basketball, fishing, weightlifting and the Carolina Panthers. Kyle was a loving person that truly loved all his family, especially his daughter, Kenzie. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Mackenzie Lynn Hammons, of Conover; brother, Kurt Hammons, of Hickory; maternal grandfather, Clyde H. Sain, of Hickory; paternal grandparents, Shelton J. and Juanita P. Hammons, of Hickory; special aunt, Page S. Walker, of Hickory; four uncles, Scott Sain, of Charlotte, and Kelly, Ronnie and Keith Hammons, all of Hickory; and a number of cousins. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, at the First Church of God in Hickory with Rev. Dr. Michael Hone officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends today (Monday, June 18) from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Bass-Smith Funeral Home.
