I wouldn't be able to eat if not for Jake

No one could tell a story like Jake. He could get to the heart of the matter with just a few words of wit and humor. I didn't know him and Betty long, but I'll never forget them and will always remember them fondly.

Our family will miss the best neighbor anyone could have. He was truly one of a kind. Mr. Ponder was so full of life and I will never forget that he always had a joke to tell or a story to share. He was a generous soul with all he came into contact with. I only wish I could have said good-bye. He was always in my prayers and he always will be.

I will never forget how excited Jake was when he found out that I was joining the Air Force. He will be greatly missed.

Jake was a wonderful friend. Several years back I needed False teeth and didn't have the funds to buy them. He made me a set for the cost of the material, and thanks to his organization Pt. Blank VFW who paid for 1/2 and another of Jake's friends I have happily worn a set of Teeth made by Jake for about 20 years.
