BOSCOBEL, Wis. - La Vern G. Eddy, 77, of Boscobel, Wis., died Wednesday, March 23, 2005, in Woodman Township, the result of a farming accident.
He was born April 1, 1927, in Woodstock, to Glenn and Martha (Gehrke) Eddy. On Nov. 3, 2000, he married Elizabeth Gibbs at St. John's Lutheran Church in Boscobel.
He had been self-employed in several business, the last of which was Space Bobers.
Survivors include his wife, of Boscobel; two daughters, Connie (Gerry) Steger of Dubuque, Iowa, and Deb (Michael) Zenk of Bloomingdale, Minn.; three sons, Clay (Laura) Eddy, Alan (Jane) Eddy and Steven (Mary) Eddy, all of Woodstock; three stepdaughters, Sandra (Jerry) Barth of Fayeteville, Ark., Sharon (David) Gritzmacher of Baraboo, Wis., and Nadine (Ted) Lee of Prairie du Chien, Wis.; nine grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by four brothers, Le Roy (Pat) Eddy of Woodstock, Donald (Beverly) Eddy of Montfort, Wis., Edward (Nancy) Eddy of Fennimore, Wis., and James (Sally) Eddy of Marengo.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two grandsons, Shawn and Timothy.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 25, at Beeman-Patchak Funeral Home, 104 Fremont St., Boscobel.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 26, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Boscobel. The Rev. Charles Koester, pastor, will officiate.
Burial will be at a later date.
