I always enjoyed working with Lacy. I was amazed at his ability to juggle many land transactions and know the specific details of each one. He always spoke so kindly of Dreama and his daughters and grandchildren. He was very proud of them. I am sure each family member has special fond memories of him.

I knew Mr. Bowman when he worked cattle with my Dad and Mom (Warren & Alma) in the late 60's and early 70's. He was a good man and they both liked him. He helped Mom with the cattle when Dad died. I remember his good spirit and joking personality. I'm sorry that I didn't get to see him in these past years. My heartfelt condolences to all his family.

So sorry to hear of the loss of Lacy, he was very friendly, talented, knowledgeable, (esp. cattle, land) and worked very hard. He loved all his family and was one of my late husband's (Reeves Collins) close friend for so many years You could always see Lacy and Lowell Jr. together (even in cold bad weather) planning, traveling and doing what needed to be done. Our deepest sympathy and prayers to all his family and friends. Joan, Stephen, Tyler Colllins and Family.

Dear Family,
Lacy was a good friend. He always let me hunt and fish on his property. I still have property in Virginia that I bought from him. He was a shrewd businessman and successful farmer. He will be missed by many.

Lacy was a lifelong family friend beginning with my grandfather, Ward Dalton. Both were lifelong farmers and friends. This friendship extended to the mother of his children, Esta Faye, and his daughters. This friendship included my grandmother, Ruby Dalton, sewing many beautiful clothes for their family. This meant when his wife and children would come for clothes fittings, the children would run thorough the yard playing tag, picking grapes, and just being kids. Lacy doted on all his girls his entire life. His business acumen was well known and respected. He loved Carroll County and was an integral part of the business community. His marriage to Dreama was a Godsend to all. Their two families were melded into one loving family. Dreama and Lacy were often seen at local establishments speaking to everyone they knew and sharing stories. When mentioning Lacy Bowman Cattle you were automatically dealing with Lowell Bowman his devoted right hand man. Lacy was a true gentleman. He was kind. He was giving. He helped many people over the years. His warm, funny, storytelling personality will be sorely missed. My heartfelt condolences in this loss for his family and friends. He will be missed.

My sincere condolences to Lacey's family and all who loved him. I only met and talked with him, once at the Diner, but I'll never forget him or the stories he told my sister and me about family and people we knew long ago and events in his life. I especially enjoyed hearing how he was backed as a young person by Lafayette Gardner to make his start in the cattle business. Such an amazing man! Such a loss to his family and the community.

Dreama & Family. Lacy was a true Icon in our community. He was a client must most importantly a FRIEND. I bet I spoke with him 50 times in the last 60 days. He was very smart and had a knack for knowing how to divide property to get it ready to sell as well as developing subdivisions. He would call me most every Saturday afternoon to see how the auction went that day. I would tell him fine and he would say "well good." I already miss him. He loved his family very much and was proud of each of you. He really loved and appreciated Lowell as well as Tanner. He is going to be missed by many people. Peace & blessings to all of you.
