I always thought that I was her favorite but I was wrong. Her favorite was all of you that knew, worked and laughed with her . We were so lucky.

Auntie Donna,
Your smile, laugh, and those blue eyes that had such a sparkle in them. I can hear you now telling me that you were the "cute Hurley-Girl". Always ready to go anywhere and with such style. I cannot think of my Aunt Donna without smiling. You will be missed greatly. I can only hope to be such an "Auntie" as well as a "Hurley Girl".

My best friend Daniel Pierro (beloved nephew of "Aunt Donna") loved to share his memories of the infamous "Hurley Girl" exploits, and updates from his visits home to Minnesota.
Though I never actually met "Aunt Donna", she and the other "Hurley Girls" have left a bright and lasting impression on my mind.
All my best to her family...

Donna Kane made me believe in magic. She knew how to live each moment in succession, with spirit, humor, passion, kindness and more than a wee bit of fey laughter. Magic knows no bounds. Neither did Donna.

LaDonna had the gift of being in the present and making everyone she had contact with feel like they were the "best" person in the world. I cherish the memories of her and what a wonderful "surrogate" gramma she was for my daughters. She will be greatly missed.

Her happiness and humor were infectious. It was impossible not to have fun when she was present. The East Coast "Hurleys" love her dearly. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I can only imagine the reunion parties that are going on in Heaven.....

'Grandma Kane' was a wonderful friend and grandmother to me. I miss her and hope that I and many of us can learn from her and become more like her as we grow.

My memories of Aunt Donna will always be happy ones. Whenever you spent time with her she always left an afterglow and a smile on your face. No matter the occasion she always brought joy and laughter. The earth has angels all too few, but one of them was truly my Aunt Donna. She always brought so much peace, comfort and joy, but especially during the last difficult years of my mother and her sister’s (Connie Kane) life; no words could ever express my gratitude. I’d like the tears of those who grieve her to dry before the sun, as they remember all the happy memories Aunt Donna leaves behind for all of us to cherish.

When I think of Donna, I remember our "cousins" picnics at Wabbon Park near Minnehaha Falls in Mpls. She always seemed to have the most fun! We were lucky to have her so close to us and mom & dad these many years. Donna was and is dearly loved by us all.

When Aunt Donna laughed, didn't we all laugh? I know I did.
When Aunt Donna cried, didn't we
all cry? I know I did.
When Aunt Donna whispered to us that we "were her favorite", didn't we all believe it? I know I did.
As my husband said, "May God rest her soul".

LaDonna was my Auntie. I didn't not see her much, but the little time I spent with her was always the best. At the reunion we had a fabulous breakfast at "Bunnies."
I liked the way she danced. I will miss her. Love Mary

Living far away from My Aunt Donna I have to recall my favorite memory, and that was in 1959 when she came out for my Father's funeral with Aunt Connie. What a wonderful gift she gave my Mother and family with her kindness and support.
