The body returns to earth, a borrowed cloak released,
To nourish roots and new life when the world has ceased.
The air, a final breath exhaled, rises to the sky,
Carrying with it memories that will not die.
The spirit, like a river, flows to a farther shore,
Toward the Summerland of blessed souls, and so much more.
At the pyre, sorrow is offered to the flame,
A sacred, searing alchemy to purify the name.
Our tears for you are the water, cleansing and profound,
Returning to the ocean where all lost love is found.
But fire and water, earth and air, are not the sum of you;
Your essence lingers in the light, your spirit ever true.
Our weeping does not bind you, our grief is for the living,
A needful season for the soul, and for the grace of giving.
And in the quiet moments, when the wound has grown more kind,
We find you in the rustling leaves, the echo in our mind.
We see you in the sun´s bright gold and the moon´s gentle hue,
For you are a part of everything, forever made anew.
The wheel turns, as it always does, in endless, perfect motion,
Bringing loss and healing with the tides of life's vast ocean.
We mourn the love that left us, a journey all must make,
But hold fast to the promise that the dawning will awake.
One day we too will cross the veil and find that other shore,
merry meet, and merry part, and merry meet once more.
With love and light

My darling husband, as our song says You Had Me From Hello. We had 25 years of love and life together which to me was cut way to short. I never knew what love could be like until we came together. I will miss you for the rest of my days. I will forever remain your loving wife.
