He was the husband of Madeline L. (Wessner) Davidson, Alsace Township.
Born on Dec. 29, 1928, in Pottsville, he was a son of the late Elmer Davidson and Kathryn (Johns) Davidson.
He was a 1947 graduate of Reading High School.
Lamar was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
He worked as a supervisor at Western Electric for 30 years, retiring in 1985.
Lamar was an amateur Ham Radio operator with the handle W3UCA. He enjoyed working with electronics and loved trains.
Also surviving are two sons, Timothy F., husband of Cindy Davidson, Bainbridge; and Daniel F., husband of Amy Davidson, Blandon; and a daughter, Carol, wife of Carl L. Solarek, Exeter Township.
Other survivors include four grandchildren: Matt, Nikki, Cory and Kyle.
There also is a half brother, James Horne, Allentown.
Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Bean Funeral Homes, 16th and Rockland streets, Reading, with Pastor Mark E. Brophy officiating. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery. Friends will be received Thursday from 9 to 10 a.m. in the funeral home.
