Larry Benson Obituary
Visitation will be Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007, from 6 until 8 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, of Tuscumbia. His funeral service will be Thursday, Jan. 11, 2007, at 1 p.m., in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Shoals Memorial Gardens. Mark Barnett will officiate.
Mr. Benson was a native of Tuscumbia. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart for his service during the Vietnam War and was a life member of the DAV.
He is survived by his son, Larry C. Benson Jr., of Sheffield; his daughter, Crystal D. Vinson, of Muscle Shoals; brother, Carl S. Benson, of Tuscumbia; his sisters, Martha Cain, Vicky Byrd and Shannon Algren, all of Tuscumbia; and seven grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Ray Cain, Lannie Byrd, Rick Holt, Tim Patterson, Shane Patterson and Rodney Patterson.
Morrison Funeral Home, of Tuscumbia, is directing.

Paw paw, you were my everything and still are, you meant the world to me and still do. I love you with all my heart and I miss you greatly. But there isn't anymore pain, none at all. If you woke up on the other side in a red room with four walls and no windows or doors don't be afraid God put you in my heart forever and I will hold our memories together closer than anything.. I love you so much more than anything. and I promise I tried not to cry. I love you and I'll see you at those beatiful pearly gates when its my time I love you!!!!
