Larry Bly Sr. Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 22, 2025.
Larry Richard Bly, Sr., affectionately known as Ricky by those who knew him best, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on September 25, 1952, to Suzan Beaty and Richard Bly, Ricky lived a life marked by kindness, hard work, and a deep love for his family and friends. He never met a stranger-his warm smile and generous spirit left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.

Ricky had a lifelong passion for fishing and working with his hands, always finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. His greatest pride and joy was his beloved granddaughter, Samantha, with whom he shared a truly special bond.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Susie.

He is lovingly remembered by his children: Anna (John) Yawn and Larry Bly Jr.; and by his cherished granddaughter, Samantha Yawn.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Big Bend Hospice in Ricky's honor.

Ricky (Larry) and I were married for 18 years and though we had our differences, he gave me three beautiful children and for that I am eternally grateful.
I know his loss leaves a painful void for those who knew and loved him and I am very sorry for your loss. I have a feeling he's watching over you even now.
Farewell for now old friend.
