Larry and I began our decades long friendship and musical relationship in the early 70's. He was talented, inventive, and solid. As a drummer I appreciated his ability to play "in the pocket".
Two bands, Chaser and The Planets, were the result of a collaboration of young musicians ahead of their time. Larry was an integral part of those heady times. We grew together musically, playing casuals and dives like Eddie's in Marysville, CA.
We reunited a few years ago and I got to see him play a Janis Joplin review.
I always hoped for a Planets reunion but I don't think it could work without Larry.
I'll miss him.

Larry has been my true best friend since my sophomore year in high school. Playing music together throughout our lives was great but the camping trips and adventures we had together through the years are what I really miss. I can honestly say that he and I didn't judge each other, we were there for each other and, believe me, we disagreed on a lot, especially politics. But it never got in the way. We had disagreements but we knew we could always count on each other. We will hang on the other side my brother, let me hear that bass coming down from the heavens!
