Larry's mom Sherrie, is so appreciative of all of the lovely comments. His two boys and I are still reeling from his sudden death. We are all just devastated but trying to pick up the pieces the best we can. Thank you for the remembrances of Larry.

I have had held Larry as the man I always wish I had married. We used to talk into the night during Emerald Junior High years. Such a positive spirit. 714-645-4445?

I´m so sorry for your loss. I hadn´t heard until today that Larry had passed. I graduated from Valhalla in 1977. I have great memories of Larry! We laughed a lot! My prayers are with your family.

I´m so sorry for your loss. I went to high school with Larry and saw him at recent reunions. He was still such a kind and funny guy! He was so thoughtful he even offered his band for one of our reunions. Prayers for his family and loved ones.

I am Larry's big sister. Almost 63 years ago to this day God sent Larry to my mother and I - a little blonde haired blue eyed bundle of joy. Tragically our father had been killed in an Air Force jet crash a little over a month before Larry made his debut. It seems he was a golden gift from God sent to lift our spirits with his antics and that was just the beginning . Our beloved grandmother, Mommie as we called her wrote to him as he was about to graduate from college "Larry, please try not to be so wild. XOXOXO Love you heaps, Mommie."
Well that obviously fell on deaf ears. Larry was truly born to be wild and his impact on this world was immense. As Ramona said the day after he passed "A great light has gone out."
Some of the highlights I remember about my brother was his everpresent smile. He always wanted everyone to have a good time! As a child he was always the popular one while I always wanted to go read books or listen to my music in my room. Fortunately, the music aspect must have had an impact on him, and he frequently credited me and my vast classic rock record collection for his early love of music which turned into a lifelong passion as a rock drummer. I recall many band practices in the garages of various friends when we were growing up. I was a bit resentful because Larry had a talent for actually Playing music as our beloved grandmother did, but I never had that talent. I tried taking guitar lessons and I was a failure but I remember Larry and his friends teaching me to play bass guitar so I could participate in their band. Sadly, I was not a natural like my brother was.
Larry loved people and animals and he had scores of friends. As a flight attendant my life was filled with many ups and downs but that was nothing compared to Larry's. He truly was a shining star that took all of us on a lot of fun wild rides including several Rolling Stones concerts, Limo rides, trips to Disneyland and excursions to the Del Mar racetrack Turf Club where he would generously share his winnings when his race horses won.
Larry also had a spiritual side. While going through his belongings last month, I found no less than 8 Holy Bibles. He also made a recent pilgrimage to the Holy Land with his dear friend Pastor Glen Larsen (RIP) where they were baptized in the river Jordan.
Larry always had such a big heart it seems somehow ironic that that his heart was actually the root cause of his death... As Stevie Ray Vaughn sang, "The sky is crying, can´t you see the tears roll down the street?". Larry is missed by so many of us left here on this crazy planet. Especially his mother and his two boys Lance and Brett.
May Larry rest with the angels in heaven, but may he rock on with the Great Gig In the sky. He is finally Riding those Wild Horses that Mick and Keith sang about.

Larry, you were truly one of a kind and your personality and energy made you the life of the party. You were a true friend to all who knew you, and your kindness and generosity knew no bounds. Thank you for loving my dear friend Ramona, she cherished and loved you deeply. You were also a wonderful uncle to my boys, always ready to play and make memories with them. You will be deeply missed, but your spirit will continue to soar high. Rest in peace, Uncle Larry.
