Larry Cross Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 28, 2025.
Larry Lee Cross was born September 19, 1954 in Ann Arbor, MI. He passed away, unexpectedly, on August 15, 2025 in Palm Desert, CA. During his early life, Larry loved the ocean and grew up surfing in Orange County, California, where he graduated from Corona Del Mar High School. After earning a degree in Ornamental Horticulture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, he had a 30+ year career in the nursery and landscaping business. Larry was deeply interested in and connected to hobbies including cycling, music and audio equipment, microbrand watch collecting, and health trends. By far, Larry's greatest contribution to the world was being a father to his two girls, Chelsea and Paulina. His diligence and dedication to this role was unparalleled. Larry raised his girls with love, devotion, and a selflessness rarely attributed to a single father. At the time of his death, he was relishing being a wonderful grandfather to Charlotte, Max, Forrest, Marilyn, and Luna. His legacy is reflected in and carried on by his two daughters and his five, soon to be six, grandchildren. Larry will be deeply and utterly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents- Myrle Vivian Cross, Jr., and Marilyn Hess Cross. He is survived by his daughters- Chelsea Wilson and Paulina Cross, along with their families.
