GUST,
Larry Gale
(Age 74)

Larry Gale Gust, passed away at his West Hollywood home Monday, March 21, 2016, after a brave struggle with heart and COPD related health issues. Larry was born December 29, 1941 to Emil and Esther Lobe Gust in Spokane, WA and raised on a dryland wheat ranch near Ralston, where he developed a lifelong love of animals. Larry attended schools in Lind and Ritzville, where he participated in tennis, band, and was very active in drama. He graduated with the RHS Class of 1960. At WSU, Larry starred in many Drama productions, was a Sigma Nu Fraternity brother, and Cougar Cheer Squad member. In 1964, he graduated from WSU with a Master of Arts degree in Theater. Larry moved to California to pursue his dreams of a career in the Entertainment Industry. He was a Talent Agent at the well-known agency GAC, worked on the Hollywood Palace TV series, and relished his time as the Talent Coordinator for Joey Bishop's late night talk show. He then worked as Allan Carr's Assistant Manager, managing a host of musical and film stars. Later, he produced various Cabaret Shows. Larry's energetic personality, wit, and love of the arts inspired many. Larry was preceded in death by parents, Emil and Esther Gust; brother, Melvin and brother-in-law, Walter Heider. He is survived by his beloved sister, Marcial Heider; sister-in-law, Ruth Gust; and nieces and nephews Connie Heider Koch, Doug Heider, Mark Heider, Randy Gust, and Melanie Gust Gering. Larry adored his great and great-greatnieces and nephews; one uncle and many loved cousins also survive him. Larry also leaves behind his West Hollywood "family of friends" and his dog/pal, Toby, and will forever be remembered for his brilliant smile. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on April 9th, followed by a Memorial Service at Danekas Funeral Home, Ritzville, WA .
