FULTON - Larry O'Neil Hood, 76, passed away Friday night, March 17, 2023, at the Courtyards Community Living Center where he had resided for several years. He was born February 25, 1947, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, to Charlie Hood and Pauline Gilton Hood. He was reared in Kenosha and spent his summers with his grandparents down South. He worked as a supervisor at Day-Brite before becoming disabled. He enjoyed hunting, being in the outdoors, especially running trot lines in the old Tombigbee River, and playing cards. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and was an avid pool player and marksman.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 25, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
He is survived by his son, Brandon Hood (Michelle) of Plantersville; one brother, Dwayne Hood of Ottawa Lake, Michigan; a nephew, Brian Hood, and niece, Lori Cooper, and their families; a special cousin, Mark Johnson; and a host of extended family members and his friends at Courtyards Community Living Center.
He was preceded in death by one son, David Hood; his parents; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

I have many fond memories from working with Larry at Emerson Electric in Tupelo. He was a great Supervisor and a solid friend. Larry could split an apple at 50 yards with Bow and Arrow, a true talent!
