Larry Parker Obituary
To know Larry (or Dad, or Pappy), was to love him. He never met a stranger and lived life to the fullest. Quick to give comforting advice or a lighthearted tease, he had a sense of just what you needed when you needed it. He sacrificed every single day to provide for his family. Larry enjoyed the simple things in life but knew how to make the mundane feel special. He played the role of cheerleader, chauffeur, master chef, boat captain, dog whisperer, and the very best husband, Dad, and Pappy that there ever was.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife and life partner, Nancy Parker; daughter, Megan Lloyd (Logan); son, Andrew Parker (Maddy); granddaughters, Lucy Lloyd and Sadie Lloyd; dogs Tucker, Mac, and Fin; mother-in-law, Sandy Farrar; brother, Carl Parker (Carol). He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Parker; mother, Patricia Parker; father-in-law, Robert Farrar, and several loved, loyal four-legged companions.
Larry's hobbies included boating, listening to good music (The Rolling Stones, Bob Seger, Rod Stewart, Michael Jackson, Garth Brooks among the favorites), cooking, trying new restaurants, listening to Kentucky Sports Radio and giving a hard time to any UofL fans he could find (Go CATS!), chasing his kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews, and dogs, front porch sitting, and ice cream eating on the cruise ships.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Lighthouse Academy at Newburg or GRRAND.
Rest in peace, Larry. Your presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved you.

God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Nancy, it seems like yesterday when your Uncle Jerry and I were at your wedding. I am so sorry for your loss.
