Larry Pitts Obituary
Born on January 31, 1943, in Joplin, Missouri, he lived in Baxter Springs, Kansas, Berwyn and Brookfield, Il. and St Petersburg, Florida. Larry was a man of many talents and boundless energy. He began his professional life as a Precision Tool and Cutter Grinder, mastering the intricacies of his trade with skill and dedication. Never one to be confined by limits, Larry later channeled his entrepreneurial spirit into founding his own construction company. Through home repairs and remodeling projects, he built not only structures but also lasting relationships within his community. Truly a jack of all trades, Larry approached every task with determination and ingenuity.
Larry shared over 32 years of marriage with Sue Ann (Bator), building a life filled with love and shared purpose. Together they raised two children: Brian (Lisa) Pitts and Karen Shaffer (Jason). His legacy continues through his three cherished granddaughters-Cassidy Pitts, Kendra Pitts, and Zoe Shaffer-who brought him immense pride and joy.
He was preceded in death by his mother Beulah; sister Karen; grandparents Leon and Rose Weaver; as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Outside of work and family life, Larry found joy in the simple pleasures of fishing and reading. Always full of adventure, he embraced life with curiosity and enthusiasm. A friend to many, Larry's warmth and generosity left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know him.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire all who remember his remarkable journey.
