To The Ryder Family I am dearly sorry I just found out about Larry's passing from a phone call I received from Hamilton. When I worked for Tourism Calgary and a born and raised Calgarian we had many conversations about the Trade Winds and history of Calgary. He was always very supported of me which I dearly appreciated. My condolences to the family. My thoughts are with all of you. He will always be dearly remembered

Dear Ryder family, we go back a long way as our mothers (of blessed memory) were close friends. So Larry, Bryan and Steve were part of our lives. I saw Larry recently when we were in Calgary at the Farmers Market and we had the best visit. We reminisced about our parents, siblings and got caught up on our kids. I am so grateful for that time. Carol we only met for a sec but I know from Larry's words that he was a happy man with you. We wish all the family the strength needed to adjust to this huge loss. May his memory be for a blessing.

My sincerest condolences to his family.
I worked for Mr. Ryder at the Trade Winds. He was the best boss I have ever worked for, a very honest and fun loving person.
Rest in peace Larry.
Bernie Keller, Calgary Alberta.

My Condolances to the Ryder Family! I worked for Mr. Ryder at the Tradewinds in 1970. His gruffness scared me then but I learned of his kindnesses at a time when life didn't feel very kind. I will always be grateful to him for that. Patricia O'Hanley

Dear carol and family, I worked at the Trade Winds as a waitress in the coffee shop. Larry was so very good to me. I had been away from the city and when I came back after a decade Larry hired me as soon as he found out I was in the city looking for work. Larry started out working at the hotel in all areas. We had him busing tables back in the 60s Larry was a friend as well as a manager.
