Larry Strassner Obituary
He was born March 31, 1966, in Beaufort, S.C., a son of the Larry O. and Linda L. (Pfleegor) Strassner Sr. of Turbotville.
Larry was a 1984 graduate of Hughesville High School, where he also wrestled.
He was employed by Butter Krust Bakery, Northumberland, and had previously worked for over 17 years at Pennsylvania House, Lewisburg.
An avid Dale Earnhardt fan, Larry enjoyed NASCAR racing and collected racing memorabilia. He loved watching sports and was a fan of the Miami Dolphins and Philadelphia Phillies, but his most precious times were those spent with his family.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are one son, Jason F. Strassner, at home; one daughter, Sierra K. Strassner of Montgomery; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Lonnie O. Strassner of Loyalsock and Jeffrey S. and Mary Strassner of Montoursville; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Lisa L. and Justin Hutchcraft of Washington, D.C., Angela K. and Brian Kustbanuter of Muncy, and Ashley K. Strassner of Turbotville; his paternal grandmother, Anna Strassner of Turbotville; and his maternal grandfather, Nevin Pfleegor of Glendale, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Freeman O. Strassner, and his maternal grandmother, June T. Pfleegor.
Friends are invited to call from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Brooks Funeral Home, 207 Broadway St., Turbotville, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Lois Yeagle of White Deer Valley Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Larry's memory will be accepted at the funeral home to benefit his children.

I never knew this existed. 12 years later, and i find out it was here. Not that anyone will ever see this, but to everyone that cared enough to leave a message, thank you. From the bottom of my heart. I lost my father when i was 15, and sometimes I'm terrified that i never really got to know him as a person, and not just a father. Your stories mean more than you could ever possibly comprehend.

Dear Larry & Linda, My heartfelt sympathy goes to you and your family during this time of pain and sorrow. My rememberance of Larry was during his wrestling years at HHS. Wrestling was always in the Strassner blood. My prayers are with you although miles away.

Larry was a very wonderfull person. Always a smile and a laugh at work. He always brightened my day when I would audit product running down the deburg line. He was quality minded and cared about his work very much. He would always have a different angle on things than the most, which made him a very interesting person. I once took a picture of him in a "Cat in the Hat, Hat. He wore it just to cheer people around him up. We from Pennsylvania House will dearly miss him.

Larry, this is a sad day by all who knew you. Your upbeat and happy personality, I will miss greatly.I can still hear your laughter. This is so ironic, because I was just sitting here and talking to Denny about you two days ago. I know how sad I am, so I have a good idea how sad your family must be. You have left a void in the lives of those who knew you whether father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, or friend. As the tears fall at this time of sadness, I also have joy in knowing that we will meet again on the glorious shores. I also know that the angels will never be bored. You were a wonderful friend and listener. You always knew how to make me laugh when we worked together at PA House. We shared alot of fun times and laughter. I loved hearing about your children and the things you did, and you always had an ear to listen to my stories about Denny and our children, and grandchildren. What fun we had. I can still hear your laughter as we talked about our families and their escapades.I will miss you and your laughter. You are with the Lord and I know we will meet on those glorious shores. So keep those angels laughing and I will see you when I get there.
To the family of Larry, your son was a wonderful man and friend. I will remember him always for the love he had for others. He talked about his family all the time. He was a loving and giving man. I can remember when his son wanted a calf and it had to be a real one. And the dilemmas he had when it came to doing his daughter's hair and the styles she wanted at different time. I wore my hair in a french braid when we worked together and i offered to do show him how to do it. He said that would be a lost cause, it would be easier if I just did it. I told him that would be fine, but one of us would have to get up really, really early and it wasn't going to be me. We laughed and laughed at the things we did and our families. I am so proud to have had the pleasure of knowing him and having him as a friend. You raised a great son and father. There are no words to take away the pain and sorrow you feel. I hope knowing that you are in the thoughts and prayers of family and friends make this time a little easier. I pray for strength, courage, and peace for you now and always. Larry was a blessing to all who had the pleasure and privilege of knowing him. God be with you and grant you peace. He will live on in our hearts and memories forever. God bless and watch over you.
