Larry Thomas

Larry Thomas was born on July 15, 1963, to his loving parents Henry and Willie Lee Thomas. Larry was raised in Gary, IN where he was the youngest son of 12 siblings. He was a graduate of Roosevelt High School of Gary IN, Class of 1982 where he participated in R.O.T.C.,Madrigal Singers and the track and field team. Larry worked for several factories in Indiana, Mississippi and lastly Houston Texas. He had an avid love for comic books, Marvel and Sci -fi movies. Larry was definitely a family man; he was devoted to all his siblings. And although he had no children of his own, he loved all his nieces and nephews including his bonus nephews, as if they were his own. Larry was known to give each person he encountered a kind gesture, rather it was candy, a coat, potato chips or his infamous smirk. Larry truly enjoyed spending time with his family.

Larry passed away from this life from a short battle of cancer on April 4, 2023, in Houston, TX. Even during his last days, Larry got to spend moments laughing with his family via Zoom. He was preceded in death by his parents Willie Lee and Henry Thomas, brother Gregory Thomas, sister Judy Simmons, niece Alene McDaniel, nephews Kagen Thomas and Marcus Walters.
