Larry Gene White, loving husband, and father to 3 amazing children, friend, and devoted follower of Christ Jesus, went to be with his Heavenly Father on February 26, 2023. He passed peacefully surrounded by family after a tough two-year battle with cancer at the age of 76.

Larry was born to Adron and Elma White on June 21, 1946, in the small panhandle town of Borger, Texas. He grew up in Borger and naturally had the humor, laugh, and tough character of a true Texan. He attended Borger High School, Abilene Christian College and later, entered service to his country serving in Viet Nam on the USS Coral Sea, CVA43. During this time, he maintained the weapons systems of the carriers' fighter jets and was a proud member of Fighter Squadron VF-161.

Larry worked and retired from Phillips Petroleum Company after 32 years as an Electronic Field Technician. While working for Phillips, Larry called several places home including Borger, Texas; Guymon, Oklahoma; and Farmington, New Mexico.

After retirement, Larry and his wife, Linda, settled in the Bryan College Station area where he fell in love with the Houston Astros and perpetuated his Texas ancestry as a Son of the Republic of Texas. Larry also enjoyed working part time, at and with, his co-workers at the College Station Ace Hardware.

Preceding Larry in death was his father and mother and son-in-law John Rollwitz. Larry is survived by his wife Linda, of 43 years; son David and wife Terena of San Diego, California; son Jason and wife Kim of Katy, Texas; and daughter Tiffany of Bryan, Texas. Also, by his mother-in-law Shirley Stribling, brother-in-law George Carter, sister-in-law's Nancy Lundstedt and Cathie Barclay. He is also survived by his brother, David and wife Terri of Grand Junction, Colorado.

Grandchildren include Donavin White, Jayahna and husband Gregory Acampora, Leilyn White, Adalyn White, Jacob Anderson, and Great Grandson Wyatt Acampora along with numerous cousins.

At Larry's request, his body is being donated to the Texas A&M University Medical School for the advancement of science. No services are planned at this time.

He was loved and will be missed.
