We would like to send our condolences to all of the Williams family. Our twins enjoyed lessons with Cathy several times each week for several years and it was always a joy to see Larry’s smiling face. He offered us a “2 for 1discount” and often repaired the girls’ skates free of charge. The family atmosphere that he created at the rink was so special. Love and blessings to you all.

We will miss Larry so much. He has filled our family with such joy, encouragement and laughter throughout our skating endevours at Franklin. He treated us as family, always making comments such as "Good morning, kids! Glad to see you skating. Go and take the floor". Larry's infectious personallity is definitely passed on to his children, Jerry and Vickie. Our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with the Williams family.

Dennis and I have been neighbors to Larry for over 23 years. We will miss his kind smile and friendly wave while coming and going from our driveway, and keeping his place groomed beautifully. This community will miss him. I know he touched many lives over the years while providing a clean, safe place for many children and adults to have great family entertainment at the Franklin Skate Club.
We will miss you Larry!
Lovingly, Dennis and Trena Palmer

I used to see Larry at least twice a week at the rink bringing my daughter up there from Columbus. We had good talks in the pro shop and standing at the rail. He knew how much I loved skating with my daughter at family skates and lessons. So happy I knew him & got to spend time with him. He will be missed by many.

Larry may not know how many people he made a difference in their lives. My mothers generation considered him a friend and he knew them by name when they attended the skating rink. My mother had me on skates and in lessons at 2yrs old, speed skating lessons at 4yrs. As a teen in the 80s and early 90s, i was often times greeted by larry by name upon entry. He always had a kind heart and was very understanding. What he did for the community by starting the skating rink, kept many children from trouble. I will always be thankful for him and his family.
May God be a God of comfort to the family during this time of heartache and healing.
