Larry Wyant

Larry E. Wyant, 56, of Yulee passed away Friday, February 3, 2023 at his home.

Born in Lima, OH he was the son of Lawrence Eugene Wyant and the late Leola Richmond Wyant. While growing up in Lima he enjoyed being in the high school band and hanging out with his best friend Tom Graham.

Larry moved to Yulee in 1986 and for over 21 years he worked for the Nassau County Sheriff's Office as a Network Technician.

For over 30 years he and his wife, Leslie, had a wonderful marriage. Their dedication to each other was unequaled. Larry enjoyed spending time in his garage "tinkering' with cars and John Deere tractors.

Larry was lighthearted and could often be heard whistling throughout the day. He was always able to make those around him laugh.

He leaves behind his wife, Leslie Wyant; his father Eugene Wyant of Yulee; his sisters, Debra Oliver of Taylorsville, GA, Barbara Parsley of Rockmart, GA, and Linda Steed of Lima, OH; Leslie's parents, Joel and Marjolijn Auve; brothers-in-law, Martin Auve and Brett VanHorn; a best friend, Tom Graham as well as several nieces and nephews.

A service to remember and celebrate Larry's life will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the Burgess Chapel of Oxley-Heard Funeral Directors.

It was Larry's request that rather than flowers, donations be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital because in his words, "no kid should have to go through this stuff!"
